I promised to keep ya’ll informed regarding my progress on my big order for the hotel in Florida. As I’ll discuss later in June’s newsletter I had a business trip to Germany which would have put me severely behind in my progress. So I decided to teach my husband how to take out the fused glass plates and put them back in the kiln for slumping. We even video taped it to help him remember the steps. It was kind of funny but it paid off, I had 50 large fused glass plates and 80 small fused glass plates ready to be slumped. When I got home they were done.
So I started washing them and making sure they were slumped properly, however I had to reslump 10 of them. As I’ve mentioned before slumping is find of difficult and different places in the kiln can slump differently. I shipped them out.Anyway with this last shipment I’ve shipped a total of 100 Large and 155 Small fused glass plates leaving 100 large and 45 small.
