I enjoy making fused glass and I enjoy making custom fused glass. In most of my blogs, I mention I would be happy to create custom fused glass artwork.  I have created custom fused glass pieces for several people. Of course, typically I am so excited about it I forget to take pictures so what is  on my custom page is not close to what I have custom made. I made this
one with a whale and mermaid (very pretty but nope no picture)! I’m always too excited to get them mailed off that I forget to take a picture.

Some fused glass  custom pieces are jewelry, a co-worker and friend wanted three dichroic orchid pendants (of course I can’t find the picture)  for her and her two sisters. We talked about the colors she wanted and that she did not want bails. So I searched for orchids (more difficult than you would think) I finally found some and created the fused glass pendants from scratch.

I also created a fused glass  platter (above)  for a friend she wanted black and white fused glass platter. I must tell you this was a little more difficult than it sounds. I made two completely different black and white platters and they were both so striking it was difficult for us to choose. In the end, she chose the black and white iridzed and did not want branches or feet. She had bought my magnificent crackle platter at my show in July. I tell you when you see the fused glass in person it is difficult to choose.

Again, I am digressing. My point is I can create custom fused glass artwork (jewelry to home accents) from scratch as I did with the ones I mentioned above. Or I can modify something already on my site. For instance, if you see a fused glass pendant you like but it has a decal you do not like. Let me know and I may be able to take off the decal. Of course I have to take the bail off, sandblast the piece to take off the decal, fire it again, and then put the bail back on so it will take a week or so.

Additionally if you see a fused glass pendant, you like but you want a decal on it let me know. Depending on the color of the glass and the type of decal, you want it may be possible. I can
also turn most fused glass earrings into post or dangles again just let me know. In addition, if you see a fused glass pendant that you feel is too big for you (I like larger shapes like shields and pods), let me know and it may be possible for me to cut it down for you. In fact, a co-worker wanted purple earrings with roses (above). I brought some earrings I had, albeit she did not see the purple she wanted. So I brought in some purple fused glass pendants so I could see what color she was looking for. She chose a pendant and I was able to cut the fused glass pendant (I did not have the raw glass anymore) and make some beautiful purple streaky earrings and apply white rose decals. Obviously, the fee for modifying the fused glass piece depends on what needs to be done.

One clarification, my fused glass pieces are all handcrafted and no two pieces even earrings are exactly the same.
