I’ve been making casted dog paws for quite a while. A good friend of mine lost her beautiful dog Aspen and she asked me if I could make her some puppy paws with ashes. Needless to say, I was honored to make her several paws. Here are the 4 puppy paws I made Marylin.

Glass doesn’t like having the ashes inside, so they don’t always turn out perfectly. I had to add some extra glass to make them turn out. I made two paws into pendants, of course they can also be made into plant stakes. Here are close up pictures of the fused glass paw pendants.

Here is the fused glass pocket paw with the card. The other pocket paw comes with a frame, that way you can see both sides of the paw.

I also made some samples prior to making the puppy paw ashes, simple but beautiful.

Ironically, I had a class this month, and she wanted to make paws with ashes too. These are the paws she made in class.

The doggy paws below are my paws with my dog, Lady that I lost several years ago. The first one you can’t see the ashes because they are deep inside. The red paw you can see the ashes on the back of the piece.

Needless to say, I’ve also made casted hearts with my nephew’s ashes.
