I received another order for fused glass caviar dishes for a small restaurant in Colorado. I’ve made these before and they are a bit complicated. I used a grinder and saw in addition to hand cutting the pieces.
I also hand cut the mold to slump the glass into. It was not easy. I had to cut it all by hand and it’s pretty thick. They took forever to slump, which wasn’t easy because I was TDY and had to ask my husband to help me, with them.
I made 12 of them, they turned out really nice and will hold quite a variety of dip or sauces.
I also gave him a free gift. This one is a bit bigger than I’d normally give, but a few months ago he asked me if I could make something like it and I thought I’d send him a sample as a free gift. It’s really nice and quite large. I hope he likes everything. Glass makes for beautiful center pieces. Like the one below could be used as dips or candles.
