I’ve wanted to write this post for a long time. The frit is from a fellow artist named Val Cox. It’s extremely bright and colorful and so fun to use. The first thing I like to do is to make test sheets. Here are two of my test examples. It comes in powder and medium frit.
The picture on the left are some the pieces I made before cutting them up. The picture on the right is just a shot of my cabochons after cutting and firing.
The frit is so bright and colorful I made some casted donuts. The picture on the left is the front and the picture on the right is the back. These are small pieces but very pretty.
Here are some of my fused glass cabochons. I love how vibrant the colors are, they are so beautiful! Which is your favorite?
Here are some of my favorites. The first picture have stones added giving them a bit of bling. I just so love them, especially the various shapes.
One of things I did was make a thick piece then I pressed it and cut it up. I so enjoy pressing it’s incredible what happens to the glass. The question is should I add some screen prints or decals? I’d love to hear what you think.
I love the cabochons. I do have one problem I love them so much I can’t decide what to make with them e.g., snaps, pendants. What do you think I should make with them? Let me know which is your favorites. I’ll let you know what I decide to make.
