Last month I took a class with my good friend Lela. It was at a place called Brush Crazy here in Colorado Springs. You can make ceramics, wood, mosaic, painting, and more. We had so much fun, Lela is a special friend and I just can’t imagine my life without her in it.
Lela chose ceramic and I chose wood. I enjoyed it very much. Lela and I had such a good time.
I’m sure you are wondering, really Karen wood. Of course, I always say, everything looks better with glass. The picture on the left is what it was supposed to look like (i.e., only wood). The three pictures on the right show that I’ve added some glass. I used glass stars and a bear that Tracy cut out for me, and fire polished them.
For my welcome sign I added the glass with the wood, and I LOVE it. I may have to do another mixed media with wood and glass, I so love the combination. Here it is hanging on my door. I just LOVE it!
I’m curious what y’all think of the combination of wood and glass. Do you like it?
