I love making fused glass dishes. This fused glass bowl has so much going for it. First, it’s spirt glass and it’s purple. You may not know this, but purple, pink, and red glass is made with gold, which is why purple glass is so expensive. It’s also transparent glass which makes it even better, these pictures just don’t do it justice.
It’s also a pretty big dish (10 in square) which makes it more of a center piece. I have a hard time not looking at it, it’s gorgeous.
I also made a couple of tiny dishes with the same glass. However, the big one really shows off the glass.
I also think I’ll make a votive with this glass, similar to the below. I’ll let you know when it’s finished.
