For those who follow me know I travel a lot with my job. This month I went to Germany. It was a busy trip, but I did get to have a little bit of fun so I thought I’d write a blog about it.
When I’m on my trips I don’t always get to do much glass so I thought I’d write a blog or two about Germany. I really love Germany, partly because I was stationed in Germany twice when I was active duty Air Force. It’s such a beautiful place and it’s always a joy to go back.
The first picture is a place we ate at the first night. It’s one of our favorites and I had Swine Haxen and one of my favorite drinks in Germany, bier-liquor!
I went up on a little gondola with a friend/co-worker. What a beautiful place.
Then we walked to the gorge. Wow it was fantastic and in case there is any doubt; no the pictures don’t do it justice.
My colleagues and I had lunch at Lake Eibee at the foot of the Zugspitz. We went there last time we went in 2016 and I just find it stunning.
This was a few right outside our hotel. Have I said how much I love Germany!!!
I so enjoy going to Germany, even when the hours are 10-12 hrs and all we get to do is go out to dinner. But this time I was lucky to have a day or two off, such a bonus; even without glass.
Oh but there’s more… I think I’ll save most of it for my DYK since I’ve been so crazy busy I haven’t had time to do my normal research on a glass project.
