I mentioned last month that I’m working on a lot of production orders. Well with the help of Tracy I finished another order – 460 ivory glass soap dishes. It’s a lot of cutting, washing, and firing but it’s also very satisfying to get them boxed up and sent. They are 2 layers so I cut clear and ivory, then wash them, then fused them, then wash them, then slump them (Tracy helped me with the slumping), then wash them, and then finally pack them.
Here they are all packed and ready to go! Believe it or not we’re working on 3 more orders!
As I’ve mentioned before I always give a small gift for supporting my fused glass business and for this order I gave a business card holder in Ivory and a blue and ivory dish. I love the mixture.
This was a challenging order especially with me going out of town, Tracy going out of town, and us both working full time. But I appreciate my commercial customers supporting glass artists and for understanding it takes time to make glass artwork.
