I love making custom glass with photos on them. I’ve written numerous posts about the Photo Glass pieces I’ve made; I print the pictures and then bake them onto the glass. I’ve wanted to make this for momma this piece for about 3 years now. My mom is turning 85 this year and she’s in a nursing home. So, I thought it would be nice if I made her something special for Mother’s Day this year. I am ecstatic how it turned out. I even left a spot for me to write on it. I added some frit, vitrigraph, and some dots.
Here are some close ups of my brothers and sisters with our momma. I love it so much. I may have to make one with my son, daughter, and granddaughter.
Funny story I had the pictures of my brothers and sisters for momma’s wave, but instead of putting them on the wave I put them on the individual magnets and had to make some more pictures for the wave. Silly me, but now my brothers and sisters get 2 magnets instead of 1. Aren’t they wonderful? BTW isn’t the magnet holder fabulous? I put washi paper on the aluminum plaque!
Of course I always make some of Mzia when I get a chance.
I was talking with Merle, and she said it would make a great class. I wonder if anyone would be interested in either making them. What do y’all think? I’ll be honest I love making them. I’ve got some blanks all ready. I’m looking forward to hearing your comments.
