In my last blog I wrote about my good friend Iris leaving Colorado Springs. Well we spent the day together in Manitou Springs last week. What a blast we had. It was a beautiful day (close to 70 degrees – yes in February) in Colorado!
Manitou Springs is a small town adjacent to Colorado Springs. There are all kinds of little shops and of course some springs. We just walked around and enjoyed one another company. I’ve lived in Colorado Springs for 15 years but I’ve only been to Manitou Springs to a couple times. Isn’t it funny how you can live somewhere and never take the time to see what’s in your own area?
Anyway we had a fabulous time. We went into a few shops in town and saw some glass art of course. I love finding glass work everywhere I go.
I highly recommend you think about your area, where have you wanted to visit and just haven’t taken the time to do it? Take a couple hours and do it, visit a local town, do it with a friend you have been meaning to catch up with. You are worth it, enjoy the small things in life.
