Actually I had 2 craft shows this month and I only have 1 more show this year at Doherty High School on Dec 1-2.

Doherty High School - Saturday & Sunday, 1-2 Dec

4515 Barnes Road, Colorado Springs

FREE Admission & FREE Parking

My last show of the season is at Doherty High school.   What I love about Doherty's fair is it's 2 days, it's so difficult to set up and tear down in 1 day. Additionally, because it's my last show of the season last year I gave away fused glass Christmas pendants last year. I haven't decided if I will give away fused glass pendants or something else. I give away about 20 a show so I have to keep that in mind. So we'll see, I'm thinking fused glass stirrers and or hair barrettes. I also have a present for anyone who has my fused glass snap jewelry. Please stop by my booth at Doherty and let me know you get my newsletter.

Since 1976, the Doherty High School instrumental music department has hosted it’s annual holiday craft fair. It is a fun, family oriented event featuring vendors offering hand made crafts. The fair also features a silent auction each year, and offers full concessions and a bake sale. The proceeds of the event help to fund various activities and help to purchase much needed equipment for the program.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I was able to go to the western slope of Colorado (Delta) to visit family. We had a a great time, so relaxing and fun at the same time. Our drive home was a bit stressful because of weather but obviously made it home safely.

Fresh From the Kiln:

I'm trying out this new fused glass technique (Batik) I learned. What do you think? It's just a small dish but I think it's pretty cool. I need to play with it more but I like it.

Fused Glass Bead Pendants

Last month I wrote about some fused glass beads I made but didn't make them into anything until last month. Well this month I did the same with completely different fused glass beads I made. Below are some options for my new fused glass beads e.g., key chains, bookmarks, etc.           My fused glass beads can …Read more.

More fused glass stirrers

More fused glass stirrers

Last month I showed you my Halloween and Christmas fused glass stirrers, so this month I thought I'd make some everyday fused glass stirrers. I love them, they are great gifts for anyone who likes coffee or tea. I use mine everyday. As long as you don't put them in hot liquid then cold or vise versa.  I made several …Read more.

Fused Glass Wreath

Fused Glass Wreath

You won't believe what I just made, A fused glass wreath. It's so pretty. It has iridized clear glass to give it sparkle. I also added some green for holly and red for berries. It's a bit heavy so I'll have to get a strong wreath hanger. I'm also going to add some ribbon, I think I'll make gold or …Read more.

Fused Glass Christmas Stars

Fused Glass Christmas Stars

Last year I took a great fused glass class from Jodi Rusho and I made some little fused glass star people. But I made the mistake of not including eyes on them. So I just decided add some eyes. Wow what a difference. Aren't they adorable? It's amazing how adding eyes and a nose or …Read more.

Just wanted to post an update to the winner of the $25 of free fused glass from Woodland Park's art show. Did you know ...

This section is used to answer any questions you may have or to pass on tidbits of information that add value and enhance knowledge regarding fused glass, metals, or jewelry in general. Let me know if you have anything you'd like me to include.

At the end of the year I like to do kind of a recap of some of the fused glass items or topics I blogged about during the year. So below are some of my favorites.

---

In January I wrote about two very interesting fused glass items, the first was fused glass pocket crosses.

The second fused glass items that I enjoyed making is my fused glass mirrors.

---

In February I showed some of the fused glass pieces I made with my beautiful granddaughter. Obviously this is one of my all time favorites!

---

March was an easy choice, I just love my fused glass mushroom lights. They are so much fun to make and even better to look at! Love them!

---

IFor April I spent so much time making custom fused glass spoon rests. They were not easy but it was gratifying when my customer was happy!

---

For May I have to talk about Fay. I love her work so I made a few fused glass items for her studio; including two signs, magnets, and a business card holder. Fay is an amazing artist so it was an honor to do these things for her.

---

For June, I did a follow-up post on my fused glass plates. I worked for four months on these custom fused glass plates. They were so much work but what an accomplishment!

---

For July, I created custom fused glass wall flower sculptures. I just love these flowers. I made several and I just loved them all!

---

For August, I choose my fused glass wine charms. I love these charms and so much fun to make and use.

---

For September, I choose my recycled bottle cheese plates. I made several and I just love them all. so cool especially with the different textures.

---

For October, I choose my powdered fused glass dishes. I love how different these are and how organic they are. Truly one of a kind pieces.

---

For November, I'd like y'all to chose. Whoever stops by my booth and tells me which of the fused glass items highlighted this month will get an extra surprised. The choices are the Bead pendants, my new Christmas items (which is your favorite), my fused glass stirrers, my fused glass wreath, or my fused glass Christmas stars.

BTW I thought I'd show you a picture of my fused glass wreath with a ribbon. It's pretty heavy but pretty unique at the same time.
