As I promised last month here are my 3 shows for the rest of the year;  Liberty (Nov 10th), Rampart (Nov 17th), and Doherty (Dec 1-2)'.

Liberty High School Craft & Gift Fair

Saturday 10 Nov, 9a ‑ 4pm

8720 Scarborough Drive, Colorado Springs

FREE Admission & FREE Parking

Liberty is a nice show however, it's only 1 day so please keep that in mind. This is a picture from last year's booth at Liberty, of course the majority of the big art pieces have gone to good homes.

This is it's Liberty's 29th year and it has over 160 Crafters & Vendors, all proceeds benefit teacher & student activities.

Rampart Craft Bazaar - Saturday,  17 Nov, 9 am – 4 pm

8250 Lexington Drive, Colorado Springs

FREE Admission & FREE Parking

Rampart is a nice show as well. I think this is a picture of my booth at Rampart last year. If I'm not mistaken I'm going to have a bigger booth this year. Again the majority of the big art pieces have gone to good homes. Again it's just 1 day so plan to be there on Saturday.

The Rampart Craft Bazaar is the major fundraiser for the RPO. The money raised is given out as grants to teachers. Their craft bazaar is well know throughout the community and is eagerly anticipated.

Doherty High School - Saturday & Sunday, 1-2 Dec

4515 Barnes Road, Colorado Springs

FREE Admission & FREE Parking

My last show of the season is at Doherty High school.   What I love about Doherty's fair is it's 2 days, it's so difficult to set up and tear down in 1 day. Additionally, because it's my last show of the season last year I gave away fused glass Christmas pendants last year. I haven't decided if I will give away fused glass pendants or something else. I give away about 20 a show so I have to keep that in mind. So we'll see.

Since 1976, the Doherty High School instrumental music department has hosted it’s annual holiday craft fair. It is a fun, family oriented event featuring vendors offering hand made crafts. The fair also features a silent auction each year, and offers full concessions and a bake sale. The proceeds of the event help to fund various activities and help to purchase much needed equipment for the program.

Fresh From the Kiln:

This is a tiny fused glass coral bowl. I think it is adorable. It won't hold anything small because of the holes but it's a pretty little art piece.

Fused Glass Beads

A while back I bought these awesome molds from my good friend Jodi and I made some fused glass beads. I liked the molds and I loved the beads but I never made them into anything until now. I made some fused glass pendants, they are wire wrapped. They all come with a black cord.           …Read more.

Powdered Fused glass dishes

Powdered Fused glass dishes

I have 3 new fused glass pieces I want to show off. They are all made with clear glass and powder. I really like organic shapes, I think they are so interesting. They are more art pieces and so beautiful. I love the shape of this one and the colors, very bold.           I like the …

Change of plans for Fused Glass piece

Change of plans for Fused Glass piece

A few months ago I did a fused glass piece that I just loved. I loved it so much I was going to leave it as an art panel. Well I didn't have a stand that would fit it and I just loved it so much that I went ahead slumped it into a bowl. I just love screen melts. …

New Fused Glass Mantle Sconce

New Fused Glass Mantle Sconce

I love to make fused glass mantle sconces. Normally I make Aspens or Greenman sconces or other texture mold sconces, however this one is different. I really like it. I started out with a screen melt then added powder and frit and I just think it's cool.  A fused glass mantle sconce is wonderful especially with the candle behind it. …Read more.

Holiday Fused Glass Night lights

Last month I wrote a couple of blogs about fused glass Halloween and Christmas artwork. I also made some night lights. These are a bit different,  they can be interchangeable. Finished Fold and Fuse Glass

Last year I took a webinar from Jodi from Glass with a Past. I love all of Jodi's classes but I really love her fold and fuse animals. I made several but I didn't finish them.  Well I just did and wanted to show them off. Here is my fused glass cricket. I added some seed beads I bought in …

Did you know ...

This section is used to answer any questions you may have or to pass on tidbits of information that add value and enhance knowledge regarding fused glass, metals, or jewelry in general. Let me know if you have anything you'd like me to include.

While I was doing my Woodland Park and Rockledge Ranch I got to show off my little fused glass dishes. I love my little dishes they are so useful and beautiful. Here are just a few and ways to use them.

---

The little dishes are also perfect for tea bags, spoons, rings, and so many other things.

---

Rectangle - these are perfect for soap, spoons, rings, earrings, etc. They are the perfect size and shape and used for pretty much anything you can think of.

Here I'm using the fused glass dish for a fused glass stirrer.

It's also perfect for spoons. This one is a fused glass snowman spoon, but it can be any type of spoon.

Here is another rectangle dish. Again perfect for so many things including my fused glass wine stopper.

---

I make not only rectangle fused glass dishes I also make squares. These too are some of my favorite. The little square one is perfect for rings by your sink. The larger one can be great for keys.

I also used the rectangles fused glass dish for my glass nail files.

---

This dish is handpainted. I don't recommend food in this one because of the paint but other than that any other way you want to use will work.

This one is a screen print and again perfect for rings.

Another thing I love about my little dishes is the various techniques I can use. This is a textured dish. This is more of a art piece but you can use it for rings easily.

Again this is more of an art piece and it is sure pretty.

Here are a few more square dishes that are perfect for anything you want to use it for.

---

However, fused glass dishes don't have to be either square or rectangle. This is a more organic piece.

Either shape can also be used for hair accessories.

This shape is also organic and perfect for fused glass snaps, either large or small.

---

Another great shape for my little fused glass dishes is round. This is another screenprint and perfect for rings or anything you want to use it for.

The dishes whether square, rectangle, or round can be any size as well.

---

This one is simple color but an awesome shape.

It can still be used for anything the other ones can be used for.

All of these small dishes can also be used for candle dishes. Here I'm using an electric candle.
