Did you know ...

This section is used to answer any questions you may have or to pass on tidbits of information that add value and enhance knowledge regarding fused glass, metals, or jewelry in general. Let me know if you have anything you'd like me to discuss.  This "Did You Know" is about a personal matter.

As I mentioned in the November newsletter I spent some time in Korea again for work. I so love the little area around the base. The food is great the people are friendly and I never get tired of walking around this fun area.

---

The area was ready for Christmas. I love Air Force bases because I love the monuments and  I love the sound of our aircraft flying over.

---

One of my favorite things to buy in Korea are blankets and pillowcases because you can have them custom made. This time I had couch blankets with Pikes Peak and of course our Sangre's. I even had pillowcases made. LOVE them!

---

Here are some pictures from the hotel. Their breakfast is always fabulous. They were all decked out for Christmas.

I retired from the Air Force in 2008 and started working on Schriever in 2009. So, I've worked on Schriever (various jobs) for 16 years.

That changes in January 2025. I have a new job on Peterson Space Force Base. I'm looking forward to this new chapter in my life. This new position means December was my last trip to Korea. Kind of bittersweet, it was an important mission and some amazing people working hard to protect our nation.

---

Because I had such close relationships with so many of my coworkers, I made over 20 fused glass hearts (here are just a couple I made for them) and wrote handwritten notes to each of them. I will miss you guys and Heather.

Such talented people.
