Christmas in Westcliffe

We spent an entire week in Westcliffe and I have to tell you it was wonderfully relaxing. Our Christmas was quite and simple. I love the little tree. The presents we get are typically for the house. Glass Murrine From Tabitha

I love Murrine and Millefiori, they are so fun to work with. In case you don't know murrine is little pieces of glass that are cross-sections of cane that reveal images. Custom Production Fused Glass Amenity Dish

I just finished making another custom production order. This time it was fused glass amenity dishes. They were made with a special glass that's a bit difficult to work with, but I think they turned out great. I used a special texture mold - spiral. Fused Glass - Buttons

I love making functional glass pieces. I made these buttons a while back, using Creative Paradise Inc (CPI) Molds. This "Did You Know" is to talk a bit about my show at Doherty Craft fair the first weekend of December!

I enjoy the Doherty Craft Fair earlier this month and wanted to show you just a part of it. The Winner of the Drawing is Laurie. Laurie, you won $25 of free fused glass. If you saw something you liked, please email me elegantfusedglass@gmail.com to chose your prize.

At Doherty I have a double booth so I'm able to show off more of my fused glass artwork.

I always give a gift to all my newsletter recipients. For this show I gave Christmas candle ornaments, to bring a bit of light into this tough year. I think everyone like it and the good wishes that go with these beautiful fused glass candle ornaments.

Thank you to all my amazing customers.

I love making functional pieces but one of the pieces I just love making are my drop vases. They aren't functional, but they are true one-of-a-kind art pieces. After explaining the process of making my drop vases she saw the beauty of this piece. Thank you for buying this special fused glass art piece.

Another reason I love doing craft shows is to see all of the talented artists. Here are just a few of the things I bought. I love this beautiful notebook, it's embroidery on cork and the deer is so detailed. The potholders and jar openers are made by Sandy, I buy something from her every year. The Jams are the best and made by a new friend.

Last year I bought some fabulous paintings and this year I bought some more paintings from the same artist. These are incredible and 3 dimensional. I just love them; I could have bought a dozen more. Needless to say, these will be in Westcliffe over Christmas (see blog above).

And as always I bought another country tree. I LOVE sunflowers, this one will be right at home in Westcliffe.

I also bought some ornaments with a bear, fox, deer, and bunny with of course Westcliffe on the bottom. Yes, I realize I'm addicted to Westcliffe, and I love decorating it with things that mean something special to me.

Remember, buying from artists and crafters mean more to them than you can imagine. Support artists, they create because they love creating and sharing their art.
