Petrified Wood Fused Glass

Petrified Wood Fused Glass

One of favorite glasses is petrified wood. I did a post a while back and made some little dishes. It's reactive glass and changes colors. The bottom four dishes are the ones I made back then. I had Tracy cut some bears out of the petrified wood. Aren't they beautiful? I'm not sure how I am going to display them …Read more.

I love Colorado and I love making fused glass. I have made ornaments in the past and I made another one. Additionally, I made something new with my Colorado's, a nightlight. Fused Glass Mermaid and Fairy

I love textured molds. I bought a new one recently, a fairy. I also have a Mermaid that I haven't used. I made three fairies and one mermaid. I think they are beautiful. I've kept them as sculptures but can slump them into bowls as well but they can't be used for food. It's just once they are slumped I …Read more.

Fused Glass Aspen Seasons

I've written about my good friend Marilyn several times. She has been a friend for over 15 years and has supported my fused glass business wholeheartedly. She's bought fused glass from me numerous times over the years. In fact, it was her cabin we stayed in while we were in Westcliffe over Christmas. She had several pieces of my fused …Read more.

A full week in Westcliffe

For Christmas this year Dan and I decided to spend a whole week. A friend of mine owns a cabin and said we could use it. To put it mildly it was magnificent! We had the best time, we went on the 26th and came home on the 1st. Here are a few pictures of the cabin. Isn't it beautiful. …Read more.

Did you know ...

This section is used to answer any questions you may have or to pass on tidbits of information that add value and enhance knowledge regarding fused glass, metals, or jewelry in general. Let me know if you have anything you'd like me to include.

Normally each New Year I do a review of my glass activities that I accomplished  in the past year and what I want to accomplish during the New Year.

I'd love to hear what y'all would like me to create for 2022. Please either comment or email me.

Update my website - specifically the shopping section. This is very important because I am not on Artfire anymore (they've closed) and Etsy (they have so many fees).  It would be nice if I could find another means to advertise and sell my fused glass as well.  I've taken some steps including gathering all my glass and set up tables to spread them out and a photo booth. I also want to continue to create my youtube videos. I've did a few last year but then got busy.

Clean my studio,  I've done a pretty good job on this. It's difficult to be creative when the studio is messy.

Make glass projects using tutorials I've purchased. This has been a goal for several years but I'm really going to work on this topic. I am going to work on a patreon memberships. Actually the petrified dishes above are from a tutorial.

I have probably about 25 E-books, quite a variety. I'm looking forward to making things some of these projects. So many to chose from.

One of my favorite formats is Curious Mondo. It's interactive and I love the variety. The hard part is which should I start with.

I have a lot of projects that I've broken or have glass left over from other projects. I want to use it to make new projects otherwise I just keep adding to it.

I also want to finish projects that I've started and to use my new molds.

In 2021 I took two in person classes The first was with Craig  He is a magnificent teacher and a wonderful person.

I also took a boot camp with Tanya. Tanya is mind blowing, I so love her and the way she teaches.

What fabulous classes!!

I want to take at least two in person classes this year. I've already scheduled one. I'm looking forward to it.
