2023 Fused Glass Goals

Normally each January I write a DYK regarding how well I did on my prior years fusing goals. But this year I wrote about my trip to Hawaii, however I didn’t want to neglect my goals. One of the first things I wanted to do was update my website. I did update my site with my class section, but I still haven’t updated my shopping section. For 2023 I’d like to continue to keep my website updated, let me know if there is something you’d like to see on my site.

I’ve done really good at clean my studio. Mainly because I keep it picked up for my classes. This has gotten easier for me so for 2023 it should be easy to continue to keep up.

Make glass projects using video tutorials I’ve purchased. I did pretty good on this one. I did Sugar casting, layering, pressing dichroic, petrified wood, etc.

For 2023, I’d like to continue to make projects using my video tutorials. One of the reasons why I struggle with my tutorials is knowing which ones I want to make so I organized my video tutorials in an excel spreadsheet to make locating them easier to find. Of course, these are just the ones I’ve paid for!

I also wanted to do more projects from my E-books. I did ok, but not as well. I did make lots of stacks, presses, part-sheets, etc. For 2023, I’d like to continue to make projects using my e-book tutorials. Again, to help me remember what e-books I have available I made a spreadsheet with them.

I have a lot of projects that I’ve broken or have glass left over from other projects. I want to use it to make new projects otherwise I just keep adding to it. I also want to finish projects that I’ve started and to use my new molds. I did pretty on this goal during 2022 and want to continue during 2023, including using my molds. All of the projects below were leftover glass and the drops I finally finished after years of sitting on my worktable. I’m so happy that I’m finally using my glass and finishing projects.

I did take two classes one with Sarinda and one with Courtney. Both included my good friend Tracy. For 2023, I’m pretty packed with work events so I don’t know if I’ll be able to take an in-person class, but I’d love to, we’ll see if I have time.

In 2022, I also created several commercial / production orders. I really enjoy making fused glass pieces for hotels and restaurants. I hope I get additional commercial / production orders in 2023.

In addition to the above, I’d also like to give more classes for 2023.

Wish me luck on my 2023 goals. Let me know if there is anything you’d like me to focus on for 2023? It’s going to be a fabulous year!!
